Hi! Remember me?

Holy fudge-cakes! I've been MIA for a very long time and I feel terrible. Nevertheless, I had no idea that people actually read my blog (aliens maybe..) My excuse, well there's more then one. Firstly, I got a job. An actual, legit job. I'm a primary school teacher which is exhilarating (I need coffee!) and rewarding in its own way and secondly, I've discovered Tumblr . But I'm back and happy to be back.

So after much deliberation as to what this blog shall actually be about, I've come to a reasonable conclusion. This blog shall be a place of wondrous, whimsical, quickly, inspirational posts that define me. I dearly hope that you enjoy reading whatever I write.

Till then, lots of love

Finding Myself.

I am on an endeavor to find myself, to create myself . To identify my flaws and fix them. To do something that scares me everyday, to grow as an individual. To live in reality, to live in the moment - it's a day to day process. To capture the mistakes and learn from them. To never look back. To appreciate the little things in life and smile (: To remember that it'll get better. To believe, to have faith, remain clam, trust my guts, hope for the best and keep myself together. To realize that none of this is permanent - change is inevitable - so make it worthwhile, laugh, smile, take pictures, capture the happiness and relive each moment again and again, maybe with different people but I'll just have more memories. To help and spread love because my life is my message. To remember that life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about dancing in the rain! To stay firm to my principles, love myself and always believe that I am capable of doing wonderful things and that no one can stop me from thinking and doing otherwise.
To hold myself like a rainbow - be the hope for someone. To stay different. Different is good, different is amazing, don't be afraid to be different. That's what makes you beautiful. To remember that someday in this crazy roller coaster ride called life, someone perfect for me will be next to me and be ready to attack life together. To look in the mirror and see a beautiful, strong, funny, crazy, weird, one of a kind, cynical romantic, down to earth girl who just wants to smile and spread the word that life isn't all bad, it's not easy, it never was;but to grow up and accept it. To find peace.
To refuse to let people distract me from my big purpose, whatever it is. To take risks and chances because "If you never try you'll never know just what you're worth" - Coldplay.  To wake up everyday with the thought that something wonderful is about to happen. My journey, my story, my legacy, my purpose, my gift - to explore and discover things about myself and to make life brilliant. To try to feel okay again. What about you?

Smile!

I use to think that happiness was a burden. Trying to be happy would be tiring and a waste of time but moreover fake. I was wrong. I now understand by what people mean when they say ‘Happiness is a choice’ because it is. Either you can cry and be depressed about your life and make things worse for you or you can just smile! Because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing. You've got two eyes to see the beauty of the world, a mouth to say what you feel, a nose to smell the fragrance of your dreams, two ears to hear laughter, two hands to help change the world, two legs to travel to every nook and cranny the world has, the list can go on and on. My Mother says constantly to be grateful and thankful; I never really wanted to understand because somehow the depths of despair and sorrow seemed more compelling than being happy and just happy. I guess we all need a little push in our lives to see the actual beauty of the world and what it beholds and the best kind of push is a simple smile J

That’s why I’ve made a list of resolutions, or rather thoughts that I’m going to try to implement into my life. Hopefully somehow they’ll help someone else.

1.     Life is full of beauty. Notice it.  Notice the bumblebee, the sunshine and the smiling faces. Smell the rain and feel the wind. Live your life to its fullest potential, and fight for your dreams.
2.     Never assume your prefect. No one can be perfect. If you’re perfect, you’re dead. Perfection is that when you no longer have the need to grow, change or dream, when you have contentment with yourself. Never be content with yourself, always have the will to change. Nothing is constant but change.
3.     Always have the passion to evolve, grow, learn and explore.
4.     Be the absolute best in what you do. If you’re going to do something you love you might as well be the best in it.
5.     You were born to stand out. Stop trying to fit in so bad.
6.     Everyone is human. Persist.
7.     Be the change you want to see in the world – Gandhi.
8.     Without action, you are not going anywhere.
9.     Never stop dreaming. Stop dream basically means to become robot.
10.  Learn to love yourself, because in the end only you are there for yourself.
11. Grab the opportunities which seem worth it.
12. Forget the past. Remember it only when you need a slap on the face for what you were and a hug for who you are now.
13. Smile. Somehow it all get’s better, I promise.
14. Have faith and believe in tomorrow.
15. Keep working hard and you can get anything that you want. If God gave you the talent, you should go for it. But don’t think it’s going to be easy. It’s hard!
16. Remember you’re still young and you have a long way to go. Time to fit into who you are, time to learn what you love, time to explore and discover just take one step at a time.
17. When you hate it all and nothing seems right. When you feel like a mistake and pathetic. When you try you’re best but you don’t succeed just remember you’re here for a purpose, find it.
18. Please know that there are much better things in life than being lonely or liked or bitter or mean or self conscious. There are the most fantastic, beautiful things and people out there, I promise. It’s up to you to find them.
19. Try to make someone smile in a day. It’ll make you smile.
20. Have a smile that could light up the entire world.
21. Never hold regret, guilt or malice for anyone or anything. Whatever happens to us was already destined and happened for a reason. Learn from it and move on.
22. Free your heart from hatred.
23. Free your mind from worries.
24. Live simply.
25. Give more.
26. Expect less.
27. Never, never, never give up. Trying to do what you really want to do. Where there is love and inspiration, you can never go wrong.

The Little Things in Life

Ever have the feeling where nothing feels right - it's just hopeless, when you feel like you've given it your all but nothings changing, as though there's a war inside you and you don't know which side your on? Defeated, hopeless, depressed, just plain sad. But, in the end it's your own personal choice. Either you can be miserable or you can be happy. But then again you can't go smiling around and look like a loon, there are some quick pick me ups that can get you in a good mood!

1. Remember: Enjoy the little things in life for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things. For instance, if you have a chance to go sky diving - live it up or a little more rational, a chance go to the movies with a friend, go, you'll make memories together and share future laughs, even if you had a good dream, and wake up with a smile, it's a miracle! Make every second count and love each passing minute because every hour that passes makes a day and every day that passes makes up your life, so don't have regrets and just remember to inspire, dream and have a little faith.

2. Treat yourself to a coffee during the day. A ice cold latte or hot mocha can be the best pick me up there is.

3. Give yourself a mini mani during the day. When your on the way to work etc and there's a red light, pump out some hand cream and give your hands a massage, you deserve it!

4. If your a girl, paint your nails a bright color, instant happiness on your nails.

5. Make quote cards. Buy some flash cards and jot down some of your favorite, motivational quotes that make you feel good, determined and happy and read them throughout the day. Have them by your side 24\7.

6. Have a dance party with yourself. Blast your favorite songs and go crazy. It takes guts to dance by yourself but believe me it's a great way to burn calories and to take the negativity out of your system.

7. Make yourself dinner and light some candles, not only is that therapeutic but you'll have a healthy dinner!

8. Have 'date night' with yourself. Treat yourself to a movie, you don't have to go the the cinema, just grab your blanket, a DVD and your favorite snack and curl into your sofa.

9. Breathe. Think of all the good and bad, weigh them and decide if you want to drench yourself in sorrow and regret or drench yourself in inspiration and determination for the new day.

10. Never ever compare reality to expectation. That's why we we're granted with the ability to dream.

11. Inspire yourself. Read classics, go to a museum just indulge yourself in inspiration.

12. Just smile and never, never, never give up.

The Past. The Present. The Future.

‘The past was the past, the future is unknown so live in the present’.

The past. Mistakes, regrets – that defines the past the past. When we’re too ‘young’ to understand, when our experiences were ‘new’, when we were ‘innocent’. We tend to forget the past as if it were nothing. Thinking about it gives us regret and anger that leads us to think that we were wrong. But everything happens for a reason – learn from your mistakes. If we don’t have regrets how can we differentiate between right and wrong? As Mark Twain said: “Explore Dream, and Discover”.

Our future is always better because it’s our secret reality. A world we want, a world we need. ‘The beauty of our dreams begins with the dreamer’. Our future is unwritten, it depends on us whether we write it in pencil, pen or colour.

Present. Funny how the word has two meanings. Present as in a gift. For me my ‘present’ isn't really a box full of happiness. It’s a painting, abstract, black and white but with every passing day, every new discovery, colours paint themselves.

But what if a person lives in his future and the past taunts him?  The present would be insufferable. The power of the dreams and hopes would overtake one, thus making the present insipid. I know that tomorrow, no, today can be different if I had a chance to live life by my rules. My fate and destiny could be different if I could just have the chance to do what I need and be who I am.

I can’t take risks without feeling guilty
My present gives me the determination to make my future special
My laughs and smiles start of real but end abruptly to the bitterness of reality
I am not who I want to be
I am not who I can be
Being this person is suffocating; tiring
But the charade must go on
For people have faith in me that I don’t let them down
With each passing second, every dispirited hope, every broken heart, every bogus smile -I am letting my self down
