The Doctor Who Tag

Who is your favourite Doctor?

Ugh, the hardest question has tp be the first one! David Tennet made himself so loveable and I adored his quirky-ness and his platonic relationship with Donna, but Matt Smith killed it for me! I fell in love instantly with him and I still can't wrap my head around the fact that he's gone... )': His chin is just so...perfect.

What is your favourite Doctor Who story?

Blink. I loved that episode, it brought the Doctor Who-ism back.

Who is your favourite companion?

Donna was my favourite for a while because she was the perfect companion with sassiness and a "big sister" kind of relationship and adored their bond. Rory was another favourite of mine, with him waiting all those years for Amy and the undeniable Three Musketeers vibe but my all time favourite companion is Clara Oswald circa Series 7. I adored her courage and well, just about everything about her.

What was the first Doctor Who story you watched?

Rose (SO1 EO1) and it wasn't the best but I knew what I was in for, so I stuck around.

What is your favourite series or era?

Series 7, hands down. I'm not going to lie, Series 8 has kinda lost me and I'm pretty upset about it but Series 7 was the ultimate series for me.

What is your favourite pre or post regeneration story?

The Eleventh Hour was perfection.

What is your favourite TARDIS desktop theme?

What is your favourite villain/monster?

The Weeping Angels - twisted enough to leave you freaking out.

If you're a Whovian I tag you and if you're not - RUN and watch the show!!!

Shaadi Bells ♥ The Wedding Day Eye Look

Shaadi Bells ♥ Updates of the Day till the Day!

Shaadi in Urdu and Hindi mean wedding and I found that seems to fit the title of this new series perfectly. Shaadi Bells - updates about the Big Day till the Big Day. There are only seventeen days left till I become someone's wife which is just as surreal as when the Eleventh Doctor regenerated. So here's the first "update" of what's going down.

1. In Pakistan, there are two days to the wedding - the Baraat (which involves the bride to sign the wedding papers and leave her maiden home) and the Valima (a dinner hosted by the groom's side for the bride's family and his own) - which means I needed two glammed up dresses. Typically, the Baraat dress is red but as the unconventional person I am, I opted for a coral-gold pink dress with a long shirt and skirt with heavy gold embroidery. The Valima dress is a gorgeous creme coloured dress with handwoven flowers (pictures shall be up in the next blog post!) Both dresses were handmade.

2. I am doing my own skincare and makeup. I don't trust saloons for makeup at all. I am not one for the typical cakey makeup brides tend to choose (whatever floats you boat) because in the end it's just one day in your life and I am not clogging up my pores to look like an evil, cakey snow queen.

3. The wedding is on the 5th of January, 2015.

4. I am extremely nervous and have been having panic attacks daily.

So hopefully, the next couple of posts should entail makeup for the day, pictures of the dresses and stuff like that!

And also please follow me on Blog'lovin and Instagram, it makes me oh so happy!

The Crayons | Revlon Colourburst Lip Balms | Review

Okay, before you laugh at me, I know these are old but love doesn't have an expiry date. When I was in Australia (I came back to Pakistan, I dreaded it, about three weeks ago) I picked up the Revlon Matt Lip Balm in Unapologetic and  fell in love. In my old posts, I was raving about the MUA Power Pouts and how comparable they are to the Revlon ones and I wasn't disappointed, actually I was quite pleased, obviously, hence the blog post.

Priceline had come out with a box set of five of the Revlon Cloudburst Lip Balms, two matt and the rest lacquer for $34.95, a hefty price but I couldn't not get so I did and I've been a happy panda since. They all the the iconic peppermint feel to them when applied and come in a crayon-like form. They are prone to melting to I would recommend that they're put in a cool area, they can't be paraded around, sigh.

The box set came with:
Provocateur (Lacquer); a pigmented true red with iridescent glitter that doesn't show up on the lips;

Demure (Lacquer); a sheer nude peach pink with a gold frost finish but doesn't scrunch up on the lips and plays well as a "over a lipstick" colour;

Whimsical (Lacquer); a pigmented lilac-y fig purple with iridescent glitter that again doesn't show up on the lips with extremity;

Elusive (Matt); a muted brown-ish pink that would look good on all skin tones and wears and dries matt;

Sultry (Matt); a brick red-ish brown that wears and dries matt.

Like I said before, I had purchased Unapologetic beforehand, which is an absolutely beautiful bright pink that is wearable and wears and dries matt. Love.
All in all, these babies are the perfect quick lip fix as far as being easy to apply, travel friendly, variety of colours and budget friendly as well. Personally, I adore the matt balms because they are hydrating enough but have the perfect matt finish, not drying on the lips at all.

They are on point.

The good, the bad and the in-between in the TV realms.

This is a no-picture blog post. You have been warned.

Being the self-proclaimed connoisseur of TV and film, new TV shows are a highlight of my oh, so fun life. Sad, innit? And in the TV industry, new shows tend be come up in the autumnal months and last till the early days of the next season (which I can't remember at the moment, don't judge) This year was no exception to new, exciting and equally so lame and try hard TV shows, some of them being A to Z, Red Band Society, Selfie, Scorpion and the much anticipated TV shows such as The Flash.

However, as the TV industry goes, many TV shows are cancelled within there honeymoon stage because of low ratings, zero to nothing viewership of just for being plain bad. Examples being A to Z, don't get me wrong I was anticipating the show to be a good one but the beginning was kind of the best part if compared to the rest of the episodes. The plot was predictable, characters were cliche, and the script was trying way to hard #newkidontheblocksyndrome. It could have been a hit but it became a clear miss after the pilot aired.

So there's the bad shows that we can move on from without any regret, but then there are the shows that touch your soul (hyperbole is on point today.) Karen Gillian wore a wig for her role as Eliza Dooley in a modern adaption of My Fair Lady aka Selfie. It was a long shot for the TV show to become one of the hits like HIMYM and so on but I love the premise of the show. Henry brought the anty things in society to light in a "poker face" manner which I applaud, loudly. Gillian's character was far too Beverly Hills-y to make it but she posed well for the few days. I'm sad to wave the red headed WiFi lover and Poker Face Henry goodbye.

Now for the good stuff. I root for the underdogs and if there's a group Sherlock-type-geniuses running around fighting bad guys, you know I'll be watching, plus it's better if their hot too, just saying. Scorpion had me hooked from the first scene. You've got drama, a hot nerd, action, a hot nerd, mild romance, a hot nerd, and humor, and a hot nerd. The show revolves around a group of highly intellectual individuals that team up with the Government to solve crimes. Sounds redundant, but the show itself is executed with slight touched of humor at appropriate timings, action to keep us glued, good plot lines that are well connected with the outlook of the show and mild romance, enough for the audience to crate OTP's and so on.  I have to disagree with the mixed reviews and pray that they keep the show on and going, because I am #TeamScorpion. If there's a season six of TVD, surely there can be a season two of Scorpion. (Elyes Gabel aka Walter O'Brien = holy handome man)

Red Band Society also caught up in the flames of having mixed reviews and I have to say I didn't jump on the bandwagon instantaneously. The melodramatic teen show revolves around teenagers  in a fancy ass hospital and the problems they face as individuals with an illness and hormones of a teen. I don't know, but maybe the whole theme of romanticising a disease (after TFiOS), Red Band Society calls from a distant place rather than reality. However, with that said, it is a TV show and it delivers drama, romance and the odd action here and there. If only the writers could inject a bit of realism into the plot... #itcouldbeworse

There you have some of the worse, best and in-between shows of the season.

"What If's" at 2 AM...

You know that feeling you get when you dive into water. The initial blackness and uncertainty gets you confused and it takes you a few seconds to reappear on the surface of the water and see things clearly again? Yeah, that feeling.  I get that feeling when I think about my wedding.

I am getting married in 2 months and 15 days. In the eyes of many, that's 2 months and 15 days to live life to it's fullest, rock and roll, party and all that jazz and to the eyes of the many others, that's 2 months and 15 days till my life becomes perfect with the man of everyone's dreams. I'm not even close to either sides - for me, that's 2 months and 15 days for my mind to wrap itself around the actual context of what's going down - the dinner parties, the dresses, the smiles, the fights, the flowers, the yes's, the no's and all that in between. I'm talking about all the nitty gritty in-between-sofa-like stuff that people barely think about - how am I going to excuse myself to use the bathroom? What if he likes Tom and Jerry (a Pakistani cult favorite)? What if? What if? What if???? I wish I could flick all those "what if's" out the bloody window and take a breather and actually think to myself - What if he's okay? What if it turns out alright?...

...but my mind never let's me think happy, unicorn and rainbow-like thoughts. Oh no, it'll dwell upon all the shit it can possibly gather in a second (or less) and then the thought cycle begins and no, it doesn't just stop. People have romanticised the stress and actual real life worries of a "bride-to-be" (in my situation) to be absolute desolate. "Who care's about all the fighting?" say's one; "he'll bring you flowers" say's another. "Think about how beautiful married life will be" is an infamous line - oh and I have thought about it, long and hard and all that I can come up with is either a role Sharukh Khan has portrayed or a oil commercial in Pakistan and both have the realism to an absolute zero.

FYI, marriage ain't about the cupcakes and pre-bridal shenanigans, it's not about the bags or shoes, it's not even about the flowers he may suddenly arrive with one fine day - hell no. Marriage is about the compromises, the loyalty and the silent vow of everything-ness and maybe it's just me - but doesn't that freak you out just a wee bit?

I am not backing out of anything. I don't do that. I face my "what if's" even if I don't want to because that's life, but all I want right now is something to float on, because I was never one to dive into water in the first place. But now that I am - a float and some goggles would be nice.

Whimsically Bewitched | The Change

It's been a long time coming. I've been wanting to update my blog's name, outlook and some of the content for a while but I've struggled and struggled trying to find the perfect name that would sum up my entire blog and so on. But it came to me while I was eating turkish delights and browsing on some online shops - "whimsically bewitched".

The change or update doesn't at all in any way mean that the blog is changing. I needed a "makeover" if you will. The content, style and everything else shall remain the same and if anything get better. My voice has not changed at all throughout my blog posts.

I hope you all understand my "makeover" and give the blog that your's as much as it is mine - all the love and respect (:

Love,
Kulsoom xoxo

Too Faced La Creme Lipstick & Too Faced Shadow Insurance | Haul

I need makeup. My excuse - I'm getting married. What's your's? I think Too Faced is leading up to be one of my favorite makeup brands - it's an affordable and adorable makeup brand that is available at Mecca Maxima in Australia and can be purchased through various Facebook shops in Pakistan.

I have purchased the Boudoir Eyes Eyeshadow Palette  and I am in love! (Review shall be up as soon as I get up my lazy a**) So, my first time being so amazing *wink*, I decided to back for seconds and I ended up with two stunning products.

Too Faced La Creme Colour Drenched Lip Cream in "I Want Candy" was my pick. I recently went down to QVB in Sydney City #placeiwanttolive and I had swatched this lipstick at the glorious Myers and my lust for it has begun. I finally picked it up and it's a perfect redish pink with a brown undertone. It looks bright when swatched but on the lips it looks fresh and would be perfect with a smokey eye or just to add a pinch of colour.

PS. The packing is basically what I would be if I were a makeup product.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance "Original" is a beauty cult favorite. I received a generous sample of this from Mecca Maxima when I had gone before and I loved how it intensified the colour of eyeshadows and gives them more longevity.

What have you guys hauled lately?

The Black Box - MAC Lustre Lipstick "Plumful" | review

I did it. I popped my MAC cherry with a lustre lipstick and boy am I excited! I honestly never thought that I'd purchase a MAC lipstick or any MAC product but this was a semi impulse buy and it's gotten me addicted.

I swatched a bunch of lipsticks and there were only two that I really liked - "Speak Louder" and "Plumful" and I picked up the latter as the shade is much more wearable and a good pick for a first time MAC lipstick consumer.

The packaging it au typical and quite iconic. It does resemble a tampon but I'm willing to look past that, ha ha. "Plumful" is one of the permanent lipsticks at MAC and is a lustre which means it's sheer but build-able and quite moisturising. Here in Australia, MAC is pretty hefty but it's reasonable  for a high-end makeup product. The lipstick cost $36 and can be found at Myers where there's a MAC counter.

"Plumful"is a wearable plum with pink undertones which allows the colour to mellow down on the lips but gives your lips a gorgeous berry look. The colour goes hand in hand with the formula as well. It's creamy and applies smoothly on the lips and because of it being so sheer, it's build-able which is perfect for such a shade.

A good dupe for MAC'S "Plumful" is Rimmel London's "Vintage Pink", if you're not wanting to spend that $36 on a lipstick.

"Plumful" is a perfect everyday lipstick and I adore it!

Doctor Who - "Deep Breath" Breakdown

It's been a year long wait and I have to say that I was spectacle is see if Capaldi could pull off being the 13th Doctor, and don't get me wrong - it's not the age (that's symbolic) it's the fact that he was over hyped, with the World Tour and all that. David Tennent and Matt Smith didn't get that fifteen minutes of fame prior to their first appearances which made their entry much more significant and memorable and nor did the audience have set expectations about him.

The episode began with a dinosaur in London, and maybe it was just me, but I wasn't happy with the start. It seemed confusing (and not in the normal DW way) and a bit to "try hard" if that makes any sense. I would have liked the episode to begin where it ended - would have been much more emotional and sentimental.

The entire premise was a bit shaken up and I honestly thought that Capaldi tried too hard in some scenes and I was able to fall in love with he's Doctor like I was able to with Tennent and Smith. There wasn't that "zing" in him, which let me down.

Clara was a scene stealer and I love her so much! She grew so much in the episode - letting her Doctor go was such a huge step for her because afterall, he was the first face she saw (in a way). I loved the way she stood up to Madam Vastra was just brilliant.
In a way, she did fall in love with the Doctor (Smith) but not in the mushy gushy love kind of way but more in the he helped her live again kind of way and that's the most important kind of love. Clara's growth as a character was iconic and on point...

...which brings me to my next point - THE ENDING WAS FREAKING AMAZING AND TIED THE EPISODE TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fact that the 11th Doctor called and the fact that they got to say goodbye it was just, I was a freaking miss my the end. I can't. My feelings are still fragile. I may need the rest of the week.

All in all, the premise of the episode wasn't the best for a first episode after a year. However, just like always, Moffat killed the ending in the utmost best way possible. Closure. That's saying something, considering he is Moffat.

#SAVEGAZA

As a human, you believe in something - a deity, a book, a person, heck even a tv show - the fact is that you BELIEVE. You believe that whatever happens, happens because that particular thing makes it happen. You may believe in karma, you may believe in leprechauns. But, you want to know what I and 100,000 other people believe:

- We believe that humanity isn't a choice, isn't a law. It's not something YOU can decide. It's something that is prewritten in our nerves, our blood, our mind. The fact that humanity has to be microscope-d in Gaza is pathetic for the human race; we might as well have the Hollywood aliens come and disintegrate us.
- We believe that the life of a human doesn't end in this World. This World is just a stopover to our whole lives in either heaven or hell - but that doesn't mean that living on Earth should be a comparison to Hell.
- We believe that children deserve to play, learn and grow. Not cry, bleed and die.
- We believe that God is All-Seeing and All-Knowing. Enough said.
-We believe that human rights are not just for the West. They were written in ink, typed out with anticipation, spoken with courage; for everyone!

This world amounts to nothing in the end, but no one should have to see their child, their mother, father, sister, brother, friend, husband, wife - lying on the floor, covered in blood, waiting for their Lord to save them form this merciless world.

I am in tears writing this, and my heart is in absolute pain. But as a Muslim, I am jealous that the people of Gaza wake up to this world and by then end of the day they are with our Lord. Sub'hanAllah!

Ya'Allah, whoever is helping, making an effort or praying for the people of Gaza, make their efforts blessed and please shine some light on those who are still in the dark. Aameen.

#ImMuslimandImprayingforGaza

This is a different sort of post, but it's something I believe in and something I will fight for. This is my opinion and I am, in no way whatsoever, forcing anyone to believe in the same. To each their own.

Weekly Diaries # 1

Okaaay, so I haven't been keeping up with the schedule I planned out, buuuut in my defence I have classes four days a week and it just get's pretty hectic, and this week was also Eid-Ul-Fitr, which in one of the two Islamic celebrations during the year.

I took some pictures of what happened during the last few days & thought I'd share them with you!

SUNDAY

The week started off with an Eid festival, where cake pops, clothes and cushions were sold. We reached there at like 3pm to set up my Aunt's clothes stall/booth and we're there till 10:30pm in the night - BAH! It was boring but luckily I was accompanied with a family friend for a couple of hours which were filled with catching up, hot dogs, sugar rushes and a very memorable prank call.

 MONDAY

Today was the first day of Eid (there are three days) and I went to class in the morning and came back in the train. It was a slow day but tiring...

TUESDAY

This was the day when my Aunts and Uncles came round to my Aunt's house (currently my place of residence) and gave out gifts to the kids and money to the inbetweeners...
My cousin bought me two of the BEST things ever! A Doctor Who wallet and a Doctor Who novel adaption! I actually saw the wallet in a shop when I went shopping with my Aunt a few days earlier and fell in love. She bought it but gave it to me on Eid day - I needed a new wallet and this TARDIS fit's the bill perfectly!!!

Towards the afternoon, we all went to visit my Grandpa, it was nice to meet up with him after such a long time! His fridge used to be stocked up my Chuppa Chups when I was a kid and my brother and I used to raid he's fridge every time we visited #cokechuppachupsFTW

My Dad took me to Westfield after, because I have been on the search for a new bag but I couldn't find one, instead I came out with a 30ml bottle of Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet aka my FAVORITE perfume ever (and that's saying a lot!) We then drove out of Sydney for a BBQ at a family friend's house. I came out of there with gorgeous rings, a blackboard and the cutest Snoopy
coffee travel mug (both items are from Typo <3).

When we all got back from the awful long car ride, we made a stop at the cinema to watch the "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes" which was amazeballs! If you haven't seen, go and watch it! A full review will be up soon (:

WEDNESDAY

And that brings me to today. I went to class in the morning and had lunch with my Dad at Nandos #goodfood

So that's about it! I hope you guys enjoyed reading because I had fun writing (well, typing) this up! Be sure to follow me on Instagram (selfish promo) @hrhkulsoomhussainn

Let me know what you've been upto in the comments - I'd love to know but not in a creepy way (; (: :D

Update & schedule

Twas a month back when I last typed but I have a very, very good excuse.

Yes, I'm in the land of the hypothetical kangaroos and timtams and boy has it been good to be back! So far, I'm living at my Aunt's house and taking two classes (Early Childhood & Disability) and the shopping has been great!

Now that I'm settled in with my new iPhone (oh yeah!) and MacBook Air (holla!) - I'm ready to dip myself in hauls, day in my life and much, much more!

Thank you so much for the now 60 followers on Blog'lovin and 6000 pageviews - it means so much to me! I hope y'all stick around a bit longer (:

So here's a "let's see if it works" schedule:

Monday: Article, story, random, etc.

Thursday: The Aussie Diaries - a new series pertaining to my life here in Australia aka a day in my life.

Jane Austen was right when she said...

... it is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.

I'm engaged to be wed. How did this happen? Well,

First off, I'm an Australian-Pakistani Muslim, which means I've had may fair share of lamingtons and somasos. But it always means that I've been in a culture shock for pretty much my entire existence but I learnt to live with the different customs and traditions. When you're a teen girl living in the South Asian continent, marriage looms over you till the day your mouth is stuffed with gulaab jamoons (sweets) and your hands are painted with henna. Some would say that marriage in your teen years is either an oppressed act that your parents force on you or that your time runs out once you get older. The latter, in my perspective, is more likely to be the case. As funny as it sounds living in the 21st century, as time goes on, women and marriage can't be put in the same sentence.

I use to think that I'd get married when I turned 25 but as I understood life and my religion, marriage at an early age is better for both the couple and their place in society. Being eighteen, I was bound to get engaged at the least within this year and it happened. No love at first sight, no instant spark, no glass slipper, red rose, or Prince Charming's kiss of life (going to far? yeah...) My relationship arranged - I've never met him, never talked to him, just saw a picture on my Mum's crappy old phone. Talk about romantic, huh? :P

I trust my parents and the decision they've made nut nevertheless, the entire time, since they day I found out about the guy till the engagement I was like and still am
I have a ring on my finger and my suitcase in one hand. Boy, life hands me good stuff like it's Christmas, too much at once.

This is just another adventure in life and it'll be full of sunshine, rainbows and probably, hopefully, for the best!

REVIEW | MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer

MAU Luxe Velvet Lacquer in "Funk"

In my last huge hual of make up I purchased a lot of items from the new MUA Luxe line, one of those things being the MUA Luxe Velvet Lacquer in "Funk". It's meant to be a clear dupe for the LimeCrime Velvetines. They have four colors in thier collection: a vampy red - "Reckless", a neon pink - "Criminal", an eggplant-ish purple - "Kooky", and a deeper, wearable pink - "Funk".

I choose "Funk" because I don't own colour like it which it always such a great reason to buy something, innit? The product itself comes in a sleek clear glass tube, with a dope foot applicator which is joined by a black cap with gold writing - fancy stuff, eh?

The colour itself is this beautiful pink, think "Barbie grew up and didn't choose Ken but went for a more mature man" kinda pink.
DISCLAIMER: Make sure you prep your lips before using any type of matt products.
When your first apply it to your lips, the colour payoff is amazeballs. Make sure you apply it quickly and erase any mistakes asap, because after a couple of seconds, it won't budge. The longevity of the product depends on you too be honest. If you tend to snack a lot of eat your lip products (just me then?) than it will wear off. After a couple of hours, the product tends to flake off.
TIP: After applying the product, open your mouth a bit and let it dry. The product dries evenly.
Overall, I'm happy with the MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer. It's easy to apply, goes matt, and comes off easily as well.

If you get the chance, do try out these lippes, they're worth the money!

Think of it as an adventure

There comes a time in everyone's life when they have to close the chapter that they're currently on and move forward to the next chapter. Moving forward to tough, physically, mentally and emotionally. And personally, those people that are constantly happy every.single.moment.of.life get on my nerves.

Recently, I found out something that is gong to change my life, for the better, hopefully.
I've been living in Pakistan for the past eight years and it has been - in one word- difficult. Adjusting to a completely different situation was an insane experience but I learnt a fathomable amount of things along the way.
Start.I found out that I'm moving back to Australia. I don't know what will happen there, or how it'll happen but I have this intense feeling that it's all going to be okay.
I'll be living with my Dad until my Mum and younger brothers fly in at the end of the year but I'll be leaving in June. It's going to be tough to leave my Mum and baby brothers but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm excited but at the same time, lurching with anxiety.
In depth of anxiety or whatever this constant feeling is, I wrote a couple of things, promises to myself if you will, but nevertheless:

    Exactly.
  1. I feel a lot like Bilbo Baggins. He had an unexpected journey and so am I. I have been begging to go back since we first got here and now that I am I feel like a Hobbit. Confused, lost and hungry. But this is part of the adventure, part of the ride. So I'm going to embrace this change and make the most of it.
  2. I started to become a drone living here. I forgot how to live, be happy and enjoyt the little things. I'm now going to try to live - at least a little. Volunteer, learn new things, hang out with family members who live there. I'm going to try to go a bit higher in this hole that I've been in, that I live in.
  3. I'm going to be studying there, so this time I am not going to let my marks / grades define me as a person.
  4. Seeing as though my Mum will be here, I'm going to have to do the cooking, cleaning, shopping - all that shit. But I'm going to do them so well, that no one will know what hit them.
  5. I've been quiet for a majority of my life. I've let people rule me but not now. Now I'm my own Queen. I shall stop letting people tell me what to do. I will stop being quiet and let people stamp on me and put words in my mouth.
I honestly don't even know what's going to happen, but I hope and pray with all my heart that this new adventure is better than the last.

MOVIE | Warm Bodies (2013)

Okay, funny story - I went to the bookshop a long while book thinking of buying the book but I couldn't remember the name so I got Beautiful Creatures instead, and while I was reading my reaction was - what this isn't funny? Why isn't it funny? It's meant to be funny? Then I Googled it and embarrassed myself in front of myself. Yep. My mother is so proud of me.

Whaaaaaaat is it about?
A zombie and a human girl, there's love (duh) and action and the perfect amount of wittyness, irony and sarcasm.

Okay so basically, the zombie apocalypse happened, everyone but a few were bitten and became zombies one of them being R (Nicholas Hoult aka J Law's boyfriend). He's a different kind of zombie, he thinks and can talk, slightly, grunts a lot and has an airplane filled with things his collected. Anyway, the human girl, Julie (Teresa Palmer) meets R and his fascinated by her, mostly because he ate her dead boyfriend's brain, and takes her back to the airplane and they hang out and she's like "what they hell are you" and he's like "I don't know". Long story short, they like each other, get separated (more like she couldn't handle the zombie drama) and then he start's to miss her, giving him and all the zombies feels again, then they reunite and the world is an okay place again.

Waaaaas it any good?
Just go and watch it, your doing yourself a favour.

What was the last movie/ good movie you've watched?

Let's wind down with a cup of tea & random thoughts #2

Time for more random ramblings, let's go!

1. I am unemployed once again, well technically not as of right now but I've given my two weeks notice. If my students are reading this, know now, this is not your fault, the school and I never really got along - we've had our fair share of difference and I decided that the school has zero right to change me as it as zero right to change you.
That was my third  forth resignation letter in three years. Talk about commitment issues.

2. Now that I'm "free", I shall have more time to blog. I really want to dedicate as much as possible into the blog. Better photography, better content, just better

3. I have an awesome tumblr account. You should check it out sometime, you know, like if you want to.

4. Instagram. Ugh Instagram. If you can't tell already I am not a social person, I mean AT ALL. But once upon a time, I had an Instragram, but my "smartphone" went to phone heaven, and now I have a 90's phone, hence eliminating Instagram for good. But I have a choice to get it back and start up my account again, should I? Instagram is such a vain place. I'm on the fence about this one - and probalby about everything else in life.

So, the story goes a bit like this...

No I didn't forget about the blog - life has just been well, life. Basically it's been a little of this
and a lot more of this...

...and welcome existential life crisis again.

Long story short - people are shitty and my job was shitty so I'm leaving the job and people because I don't appreciate shitty-ness in my life.
I am devastated if not the least, for leaving all the wonderful and beautiful girls I taught but the crap got a bit too much for my brain to handle. I mean they weRE TRYING TO CHANGE ME AS A PERSON - WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO CHANGE A UNICORN!!!!!!!

*cue my sad life story here (read pass this if you want to)

Once upon a time - actaully a month ago... my work place started to became a minefield. Everything and anything I was saying or doing started to create problems. Even wearing makeup was against the rules - what, right?! So bascally, I'm just there, checking stuff everyday like:

I like to think I'm an easy going teacher. I love all my students and smile at them, tell jokes and all that shiz - but apparently that's all wrong.
So now I'm the "bad teacher teaching all the bad things because I'm bad" and honestly, I'm the person that screams internally when I eat a Happy Meal.

There is a hell lot of the story but whateves, right?

Basically, considering I'll have a hell of a lot more time in my hands, I'll be able to what I love to do:

Honestly, I'm still in the "what the fudgeballs is going on" phase...or is that just life?

MUA Haul = Lighter Wallet

Online shopping is a terrible, wonderful, horrible, whimsical adventure. Some days you find everything you could possibly want and other days it's like a barren waste land. I had a good day - a great day infact! The brush I've been lusting over was finally in stock and so were a couple of lipsticks. It was makeup galore but I ended up with a lighter wallet - before the month even begins!

(fyi I don't watch Degrassi)
I went a little MUA cray cray but the prices and quality are damn good. Here's what I dropped into that tiny evil shopping cart:
1. MUA Stippling Brush (F2)
I cannot begin to express how many times I cheched for this damn brush to be "in stock" and finally, on that glorious, gloriousday IT WAS! I have yet to try it but it's soft (always a good sign) and personally I love the white bit. It's smaller than I expected but I am not one to complain.

2. MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer - Funk
Jessica-Anne  blogged about the Lime Crime Velvetine Lip Lacquers and I was lusting for one soon after. Lime Crime isn't avaliable where I live but when I found out the close dupes aka MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer was avaliable I reacted a wee bit like this:
(okay a lot like this)
I got the shade "Funk" a blue toned pink. The product is supposed to go on like gloss then set like matt and last forever...I was going to pick up another shade but decided to go with one, test it out, then purchase another.

3. MUA Luxe Precision Felt Eyeliner
I've bought three eyeliners in the past two months and hated all of them. I bought the Maybelline MasterDrama eyeliner which I hated - sticks to your skin and the after one sharpen it broke! and an Essence Liquid eyeliner which was disappointing - it was light and streaked. Being in the market for a new eyeliner, I snatched this one up in the hopes of being redeemed from this eyeliner "drama".

4. MUA Matte Lipstick - Peachy Keen & Scarlet Siren
Intially I had placed an order for Wild Berry as well (seeing as though berry lips are my go-to lip most often) but didn't receive with my parcel... I was (still am) sorta bummed but I now own another red to add to my collection and a gorgeous peachy pink - a color which I don't own. I've read a couple of reviews and the only problem that seemed most common was that they wouldn't glide on and would dry the lips but that's anticipated from a matte lip product - so now I have to exfoliate and balm my lips up!

Most probably after posting this I will die with the immense amount of guilt for spending money.

To Be Or Not To Be? MUA'S PowerPout in "Crazy in Love" | Review

Never before have I experienced such an amazing lip product! It was instant love - from the packing, to the color, to the scent, all the way down to the price! I've been lusting over the Revlon Lip Balms for a while now but they are pretty hard to find where I live so when I found this amazeball dupe on just4girls  and had a major beauty fangirl moment. Little did I know that I would fall in love with this crayon.

The MUA PowerPouts are quite comparable to Revlon's Kissable Lip Balms and this particular shade is the darkest, berriest shade much like "Crush" by Revlon. I haven't yet personally tried the Revlon's Lip Balms so I can't say much but the MUA PowerPout's blew me away. It's super pigmented, hydrating and smells minty but not overwhelmingly. The only flaw is that is melts away easily...

This crayon- like lip balm \ lipstick has been my go to lip product and quite possibly my statement lip color at work! I am so happy with MUA's PowerPout in "Crazy in Love"!

If you live in Pakistan, you can purchase this here for just PKR 500!

What has been you favorite lip product lately?

Checking Examinations - SOS!

After spending the weekend checking final exam papers I came to the realization the teaching is the most underestimated job and I'm and not getting paid enough. However, spending 11 hours non-stop checking these mystical anomalies, I have compiled a list of my reactions throughout the process. Fellow teachers, let me know what you go though and how you feel why checking exam papers.

1. The Student Who Think's It's Cool To Add Two Options For A Fill In The Blank:

2. The Student Whose Handwriting Is Worse Then My Doctor's:

3. The Student Who Hasn't Studied And Winged The Entire Exam:

By the end of it I was dead - my soul had flown away.

But I survived only to be plummeted with 7 more piles of exams.

I hope by the end end of it I'll still be a person breathing and just a walking corpse.

BOOK | Divergent by Veronica Roth

So basically Divergent was on my "books have I to read because of tumblr" list and I finally got my hands on it on Saturday, started on Sunday and ended it on Monday afternoon. Truth be told, I was like this the entire time (gifs to follow):

1. The initial reaction of awe and adoration for Tris and her choice.

2. When Four starts looking out for her, I was like

3. When the fighting began

4. Then the book ended. It finished.

What the book was about?
The book is reminiscent of The Hunger Games but the plot if a wee bit 'softer' in many ways. It's not about killing children and the characters are much more relate-able. I wasn't scared about turning the page (which happened a lot during The Hunger Games) and I loved the three dimensional characters - everyone had a backstory.
The main point that attracted me instantly was the choice one had to make: stay with your family and live a life that wasn't yours or break away from them and live a life worth living? Roth nailed it when it came to the two main characters: Tris and Four. There are so many secrets that open up till the last page and I cannot wait for Insurgent to arrive at my door.

So what did I think about...

The plot? More than ordinary...it kinda followed the premise of HG but it held up better during the action and romantic bits.

The characters? Perfect. Their weaknesses made them more relate.

The ending? As soon as I put down the book, I ordered the second instalment. 'Nuff said.

A re-read? Hell yes.

Oh and the fact that the movie is coming out next month is BEYOND MY BRAIN'S UNDERSTANDING!!!!

P.S. My book preference fluctuates like Katy Perry's hair color or better yet, Taylor Swift's boyfriends.

Have you read the Divergent series yet? What did you think?
